all absence is returned to presence.

Nature, it seems, has an odd sense of humor. From birth, the most obvious fact of life is death. To attain cavalier states of perpetual wanting or remain tethered to fates ever daunting — death remains the only path to life.

the Way is so divine, that in adoration,
it is easy to forget that there are many paths.

Without numbers, allow the mind to focus.
The body, like the mind, must stay fluid.
A stiff body is a weak body – so to the mind.
Ease the hips and strengthen the feet!
Sure-up all weakness and return them to balance.

…and said, verily I say unto you, except ye be converted and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven
– Matthew 18: 3 – 4 KJV
One of the beautiful aspects of scripture is its wide range of application – the hidden practical jewels we can find beneath the surface stones. To play like a child, to move and stay low each morning during my yoga routine is essential to maintaining the supple flexibility of my youth. Small children, even after they learn to walk, are often found playing on the floor. Flexing, twisting and stretching without notice or injury. The floor is a gateway to good health. It not only restores youthful agility, the lower postures help return us to our abandoned humility. An often forgotten world beckons beneath our feet.
